Bergify is a free and open-source block-based Wordpress theme built for Full-Site Editing. The theme features 25+ predesigned sections (block patterns) for creating typical small or medium business websites. This includes a hero section, a service description, a pricing table, a team section, frequently asked questions, testimonials, customers or a contact section just to name a few.
All website components (i.e. blocks) are thoroughly styled according to the uniformed design guidelines. Custom styles are added for many elements/blocks, like buttons or check-lists. The demo site shows an example of a business website including 5 pages (Homepage, Services, About, Blog, Contact).
Compose the website with/from pre-designed sections
Sections (called Patterns) are the main building parts of this Wordpress theme. This reduces building a single web page to a few clicks when adding desired sections - patterns to the page. You can build the entire website within minutes.
Using sections is not only significantly time-saving but also very flexible. You can change the look of any pre-designed section in the new Wordpress Block Editor. Moreover you can tweak the design and style of the basic elements, like headings, paragraphs, bullet lists, buttons etc.
Built for Block Editor and Full-Site Editing
Bergify is a new type of Wordpress theme. The user does not need any coding or programming skills. All aspects of the website are fully editable in the new Block Editor. You can work with both sections - block patterns and with basic elements (headings, texts, lists, buttons, images, tables etc.). You can change the look and feel of any part of the web page by updating color, font-size, spacing and dimensions inside the Block Editor.
You can improve the same way the overall website layout by updating header and footer or by tweaking the web page template. All this work is being done in the new Editor which covers the full website. Full-Site Editing is a completely new era of building a website with Wordpress as a fully-featured website editor. Bergify supports Full-Site Editing with all the necessary features and provides a sophisticated design and style for your website.
Installation
Download the zip package and log in to your Wordpress dashboard. Go to Appearance > Themes menu where you hit the “Add New” button. On the “Add Themes” page you will “Upload Theme”, just submit the downloaded zip file. In the next step you will activate the Bergify theme.
You need to run Wordpress version 5.9 and above so that you could use all the advanced features of Full-Site Editing.
You can place a contact form on your website. We support the Contact Form 7 plugin with custom styling. You can also use the dedicated block pattern (pre-designed section) including a contact form.
